Engaging Community Partners to Provide Project Based Learning Opportunities for Middle School Youth
Often, in our hectic day to day work, we struggle to build meaningful volunteer partnerships that deliver long lasting results for our students. In this workshop, we will provide tools and guidance to help you bridge that gap. Our students need increased opportunities to discover their passions. There are volunteers in our communities that can do that. We will guide you through beginning, building and maintaining partnerships - how to start and how to grow.
In this workshop, partcipants will:
- Learn how to partner with community members to expand the possibilities of project based learning across the school year or semester.
- Learn how to create and engage in meaningful relationships, collaborate and co-teach with passionate volunteers.
